Viewing from inside with the Bresser - sky reasonably clear, quick snap - Apennines still stand out - Aristillus and Autolycus getting more defined - promontories in southern Alps looked good (sorry - not up to meaningful analysis   yet ;-) )

Waited for Moon to clear eastern roof and trees   - alt 11 az 67   -  20:30 BST Photos hit and miss - these are 2 made from camera videos stacked with Registax after going through Virtual Dub. Messier twins here Viewing good till Menieres hit.  Craters in Cleomedes clear, as were wrinkles in Crisium

After a day of heavy showers it was a surprise to find a moon just skirting the usual obstacles in clear sky, avoiding the clouds 12 day Moon Couldn't see any remains of Smart-1 on the Lacus Excellentiae ;-)  see 3rd Sept

Battered old J Herschel and the bright young Harpalus Always fascinating to view the Aristarchus plateau and the winding valley (160 km long) Fields of volcanic domes? Mysterious swirls of white!

Odd shaped Schiller and two of the craters south of Schickard - just missing the filled Wargentin Not brilliant photos but wrinkles in the lava, rilles and flooded craters showed some of the history of the southern Oceanus Procellanum The dark, wonderfully named Marsh of Epidemics contrasts with the bright rays of young Tycho

Sun near setting - taking several planets with it.   6 day moon still too low (alt 7) in the clouds in the south for me to see yet!!!
